COVID-19 POLICY

Given the recently diagnosed local case of COVID-19, we will only be allowing our furry patients and staff into our building starting Monday, March 23, 2020. Clients will not be allowed into the building. This decision was made out of concern for the health of our staff, clients, and community.

If you have an appointment, please call our office at 540-951-1002 when you arrive in the parking lot. Our receptionist will transfer you a veterinary assistant and your appointment will begin via phone. After getting an initial history on your pet, our veterinary assistant will come out to your car and bring only your pet into the clinic. After completing an exam, our doctors will speak to you via phone with recommendations. Once the appointment is finished, a receptionist will take payment over the phone and our veterinary assistant will bring your pet and any medication/food to you.

If you need to refill a prescription, please call 24 hours in advance. We will get everything ready for when you arrive the next day. When you arrive in the parking lot, please call our office at 540-951-1002. Our receptionist will take payment over the phone and someone will deliver your items to your car. If you need a prescription food, please call 1-2 weeks in advance to allow us time to order and receive your pet’s food.

Our doctors and staff value client communication as well as the safe and low stress handling of your pet. We will continue to deliver both of these even though we will not be face to face with you in exam rooms.

During this time of curb side service, please be assured that we are spending time thoroughly cleaning the hospital. Our staff is also washing/sanitizing their hands between each patient. We have also instructed our staff that if they have signs of respiratory distress, fever, or cough, they stay home. We ask the same of our clients during this difficult time.

Please be patient with us during this unprecedented time as we continue to adjust to provide the best and safest service to our valued clients and patients. Our goal is to stay healthy and to stay open to provide the quality care you expect for your furry family members.
